Job summary

Corewell Health Wayne Hospital is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist for the Wayne, MI campus. This full-time night-shift role offers 36 hours per week and a $10,000 sign-on bonus for qualified external hires.

You will perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services, teach patients and staff, maintain equipment, and support the Respiratory Therapy department’s goals. Some weekends and variable days apply in a collaborative hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Required Associate's Degree Respiratory Therapy
• Respiratory Therapist License - State of Michigan Upon Hire required
• Respiratory Therapist Registry - NBRC Upon Hire required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association or American Red Cross Upon Hire required

Responsibilities

• Implements and evaluates diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory services to assist physicians in diagnosis and management of patients with cardiopulmonary and related disorders.
• Participates in the education of patients, students, staff and physicians.
• Provides technical support for all equipment related to the practice of Respiratory Care.
• Assists with general department functions.
