Job Summary and Qualifications

As a NICU/PEDI Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT), you will perform critical care and diagnostic procedures for patients of all ages with cardiopulmonary diseases. Responsibilities include:

1. Setting up and operating respiratory care equipment
2. Performing procedures related to cardiopulmonary hemodynamics
3. Demonstrating competency in airway care
4. Assessing patients, interpreting results, and suggesting treatments
5. Routine patient assessments and documentation
6. Communicating with physicians and nurses about patient care
7. Stabilizing patients during high-risk deliveries

Experience and Education

• Preferred NICU/PEDI hospital experience

• Graduate of an AMA-accredited Respiratory Therapy program

Licenses and Certifications

• Registered Respiratory Therapist credential (NBRC)
• Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license
• Current BLS certification
• Current NRP certification for NICU staff
• Current ACLS certification for ICU staff
• Current PALS certification for NICU staff
