They are responsible for delivering quality patient care, managing ventilators, performing airway procedures, and interpreting diagnostic tests such as arterial blood gases. The role includes patient and family education, staff mentoring, and participation in performance improvement initiatives to ensure safety and evidence-based practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments, administer therapies, verify orders, and manage ventilator settings, including weaning and airway management.
