Qualifications

Must have CPR certification and ACLS certification is preferred.
Responsibilities
Administer complex respiratory therapy procedures.
Collaborate with physicians for treatment plans.
Document and report patient care activities.
Supervise respiratory care interns and students.
Skills
Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
Proficient knowledge of medical terminology
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to draw arterial blood and evaluate blood-gas results
Ability to assess patient discomfort
Education
Associate degree
Bachelor’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy (preferred)
Registration as a Respiratory Therapist
Licensure by Maryland Board of Physician Quality Assurance
CPR certification
