Job summary

Responsibilities

• Inpatient and outpatient respiratory care in the VA Boston Healthcare System.
• Plan of care using patient assessment and data; monitor outcomes.
• Consult with physicians to ensure quality patient care within area of specialty.
• Manage airway and ventilation using mechanical means.
• Perform home oxygen evaluations, PFT, bronchial provocation testing, CPAP/BiPAP setups with compliance checks, mask fitting, and education.
• Lead projects and mentor lower-graded staff; may develop new policies/protocols.
