Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs CVHCS is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to provide comprehensive respiratory care for adult and geriatric patients in a high-volume health system.

Qualifications

• Completion of a respiratory care program accredited by CoARC or successor
• Active, full, unrestricted RRT license
• Ability to obtain and maintain credentialing as an RRT

Responsibilities

• Provide basic and advanced respiratory care to adult and geriatric patients
• Operate mechanical ventilators and advanced respiratory devices
• Assess patient needs and develop care plans in collaboration with the health care team
• Perform diagnostic procedures including pulmonary function testing and arterial blood gas analysis
