Job summary

The Registered Respiratory Therapist at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO, provides professional respiratory care across all phases of the patient stay. You will assess, plan and execute respiratory therapies, including ventilation and oxygen titration, while performing ABG analysis and related tests.

Responsibilities include documentation, education for patients and staff, and adherence to infection prevention practices.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Program.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and assist in determining a respiratory plan of care based on assessment, diagnosis and patient history.
• Provide medicated and non-medicated therapies, ventilation support and oxygen titration.
• Perform arterial blood gas analysis and related diagnostic testing.
• Document patient care electronically and accurately.
• Educate patients, students and staff on respiratory care protocols.
