Job summary

Kindred Hospital St. Louis South is a 38-bed long-term acute care hospital. You will administer safe respiratory care, monitor ventilation, assess patients, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to optimize therapy.

The ideal candidate has an accredited respiratory therapy program, RCP license, BCLS and ACLS, and at least 1 year of related experience; strong communication and team skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited respiratory therapy program (certificate/diploma or degree).
• Valid RT license or credential as required by state (RCP).
• BCLS and ACLS certifications at hire or per facility timeline.

Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care procedures across hospital settings.
• Maintain accurate documentation and charge capture for respiratory services.
• Verify and initiate physician orders for respiratory care.
• Operate and disinfect respiratory equipment; troubleshoot devices.
• Manage oxygen, aerosol therapy, and ventilator support.
• Assist in airway management and procedures as ordered.
• Educate patients and families; provide handoff reports.
• Participate in rounds and team meetings; support department training.
