Job summary

Qualifications

• ACLS, BCLS, NRP, and PALS certifications are required within specified timeframes.
• Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent is required.
• RRT/RCP-State credential or equivalent must be held.
• Active licensure or credential as Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner is required.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status by performing focused exams and interpreting breath sounds.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen, aerosols, and airway clearance techniques.
• Manage ventilation and airway support, including invasive and noninvasive methods.
• Educate patients and families and coordinate with physicians and nurses in care plans.
• Maintain equipment and adhere to infection-prevention standards.

Your role will include:

• Assessing respiratory status by performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, anddeterminingthe need for respiratory interventions.
• Deliveringevidence-based therapy by providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Managing ventilation and airways by assistingwith artificial airway placement,initiatingand adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,monitoringpatientresponses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.
• Supporting patients and the care team by educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.
• Maintainingequipment and safety by setting up,operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
