Job summary

Memorial Hospital - North Georgia is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join an established RT team for cardiopulmonary care during night shift 7:00pm–7:00am. You will assess patients, plan and deliver treatments, manage ventilators and oxygen therapies, and ensure timely documentation.

The role requires ASRT-equivalent education, GA RCP license, 6–12 months of experience, and certifications (CPR within 14 days, ACLS within 30 days, PALS within 30 days).

Qualifications

• Associates Of Science graduate from an accredited respiratory therapy program.
• 6-12 months experience in Respiratory Care or related field.
• GA Respiratory Care Practitioner license, upon hire.
• CPR within 14 days.
• ACLS within 30 days.
• RRT credential within 12 months.
• PALS within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient and recommend a treatment plan.
• Provide respiratory care to patients with critical and complex medical/surgical conditions.
• Perform/assist insertion and removal of endotracheal tubes.
• Document care in real time charting.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Educate and counsel patients, family members, and caregivers.

As a Respiratory Therapist, you will join an established team of RTs who share your passion for delivering highly specialized cardiopulmonary care to patients experiencing breathing issues. You'll be instrumental in providing a range of treatments from breathing techniques and nebulizer treatments to ventilator management, oxygen therapies, and external ventilation support. Every day you will apply your keen assessment skills and critical thinking to manage diverse patient needs, develop and execute effective care plans, and ensure calm, focused intervention in both routine and emergent situations.
