Lake Taylor Hospital in Norfolk, VA seeks a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join its LTAC team. You will administer therapies, monitor patients, and educate families in a patient-centered care environment.

This on-site role requires an Associate's or Bachelor's in Respiratory Therapy, state licensure, BLS/ACLS, and at least 2 years of experience, preferably in LTAC, with strong communication and teamwork.

• Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• Experience in a LTAC facility is preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and response to treatments.
• Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.
• Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.
• Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures.

Location: Lake Taylor Hospital, Norfolk, Virginia, United States

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Arrangement: On-Site

Shift: Night Shift, 35 hours per week, 3/12 hour shifts with every other weekend

Facility: Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) Facility - 101 beds

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team at our LTAC facility. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will provide specialized care to patients with respiratory illnesses and disorders, utilizing your knowledge and expertise in respiratory therapy.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer respiratory therapy treatments and medications as prescribed by physicians.

Monitor and assess patients' respiratory status and response to treatments.

Educate patients and their families on respiratory care and disease management.

Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.

Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation.

Respond to emergency situations and provide life-saving interventions as needed.

Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols and procedures.

Qualifications:

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy.

Current state license as a Respiratory Therapist.
