Qualifications

• Current Respiratory Therapist license/credential for Virginia.

• Current BLS certification.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Previous hospital or acute-care experience preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across varying acuity levels.
• Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders.
• Perform respiratory therapy procedures and treatments per physician orders and protocols.
• Manage and monitor oxygen therapy and nebulizer treatments.

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join a dynamic healthcare team in Norfolk, Virginia. This 13-week travel assignment is an excellent opportunity for an experienced RT to provide high-quality respiratory care while gaining valuable experience in a new clinical environment.

Provide comprehensive respiratory care to patients across various acuity levels.

Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory disorders.

Perform respiratory therapy procedures and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols.

Manage and monitor oxygen therapy, nebulizer treatments, and other respiratory interventions.

Assist with ventilator management and airway care as required.

Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.

Educate patients and families on respiratory treatments and disease management.

Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care.

Respond effectively to respiratory emergencies and changes in patient condition.

Follow all facility, regulatory, and patient-safety standards.
