Job summary

Medical City Lewisville is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist to deliver high-quality respiratory care across emergency, ICU, and acute care settings. You will interpret patient status, administer therapies, and support the care team to ensure optimal outcomes.

You will work with advanced respiratory equipment, receive mentorship, and benefit from a stable schedule and ongoing professional growth within the Medical City network.

Qualifications

• ACLS within 6 months of employment start date.
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• Neonatal Resuscitation within 6 months of employment start date.
• PALS within 6 months of employment start date.
• (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist, or (RRT-NPS) Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty.
• Associate Degree, or Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Assess respiratory status by focused exams, interpret breath sounds and airway patency, and determine interventions.
• Deliver evidence-based therapy including oxygen support, aerosols, and airway clearance techniques across care settings.
• Manage ventilation and airways, assist with invasive and noninvasive ventilation, monitor responses.
• Support patients and families, educate, and collaborate with physicians and nurses.
• Maintain and clean equipment, ensure readiness and infection prevention standards.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Your role will include:

• Assessing respiratory statusby performing focused exams, interpreting breath sounds and airway patency, anddeterminingthe need for respiratory interventions.
• Deliveringevidence-based therapyby providing oxygen support, aerosolized medications, airway clearance techniques, and other treatments across emergency, critical care, and acute settings.
• Managing ventilation and airwaysbyassistingwith artificial airway placement,initiatingand adjusting invasive and noninvasive ventilation,monitoringpatientresponses, and responding quickly to clinical changes or emergencies.
• Supporting patients and the care teamby educating patients and families, serving as a clinical resource, partnering with physicians and nurses, and helping stabilize newborns during deliveries when needed.
• Maintainingequipment and safetyby setting up,operating, and cleaning respiratory equipment; ensuring readiness and preventive maintenance; transporting ventilated patients safely; and following all infection-prevention standards.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date(RRT/RCP-State) Respiratory Therapist/Practitioner
• (NBRC-RRT) Registered Respiratory Therapist, or (RRT-NPS) Neonatal/Pediatric Specialty
• Associate Degree, or Certificate
