Job description

Responsibilities

The Registered Radiologic Technologist utilizes imaging, computer, and other equipment to produce and retain high-quality diagnostic images that meet or exceed department, organizational, and industry standards. Demonstrates thorough knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as image quality. Applies professional knowledge to prepare patients for procedures, educates them, and responds to questions or concerns. Ensures age-appropriate communication, safety, patient education, and principles of physical and functional growth and development. Demonstrates understanding of patient positioning, imaging techniques, radiation safety, imaging equipment, infection control, and quality control techniques. Oversees and trains students providing patient care, treatment, and services as part of their training.

Qualifications

Required:

  • RO (State Radiography License) and ARRT-R

OR

  • ROT (Temporary State Radiography License) and must obtain ARRT-R prior to ROT expiration
