Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams and ensure high-quality results. You will work with radiologists, physicians, and the imaging team in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires ARRT certification, state licensure if applicable, and BLS. You will maintain competency, ensure patient safety, and contribute to a culture of care and collaboration at St. Mary’s Regional Hospital in Colorado.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Radiologic technologist license in state of practice (if applicable).
• BLS certification for healthcare providers.
• May be required to complete the MA Competency Checklist and function as an MA in a clinic or InstaCare setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain ARRT or modality-specific competency in clinical/technical functions.
• Ensure proper patient identification, order verification, and exam preparation.
• Perform exams per department protocol; review images for quality, clarity, and accuracy.
• Adhere to radiation safety guidelines and maintain a safe working environment.
• Complete studies within acceptable time limits without compromising patient care or quality.
• Instruct students and other Radiology Techs in exam protocols, procedures, positioning, and equipment.
• Provide patient education, ensure comfort, and address concerns.
• Practice infection control and sterile techniques.
• Operate equipment and related information systems to ensure quality images.
• Keep accurate records of patient information, procedures performed, and adverse reactions.
• Follow protocols for medical necessity, coding, charging, consents, QC programs, and reporting equipment failures.
