The caregiver will work nights with on-call coverage, delivering patient-centered care in a Magnet Hospital environment and ensuring safety

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT registered technologist in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• BLS certification through AHA or Red Cross.
• One year of general Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and timeliness.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions and notify management/PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures and process billing.

As a Radiologist Technologist, you will use your knowledge and learned skills to operate various types of x-ray equipment, including stationary unity, mobile machines, C-arms and fluoroscopy systems, to provide physicians with images to help diagnose conditions. On this team, your efforts can help facilitate a welcoming, calming and healing environment to relieve any discomfort or unease patients may feel throughout the exam process. A caregiver in this position works part-time, nights + on-call, 10:00pm-7:30am.

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in good standing
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist

Physical Requirements:

• Standing and walking for extended periods of time
• Lifting or assisting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $29.00

Maximum hourly: $44.50
