Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital is seeking a Radiology Technologist to perform general and fluoroscopic radiology procedures, ensuring high-quality images while minimizing radiation dose. You will educate patients, operate equipment, and manage paperwork. The role includes night shifts (7:30 p.m.

– 6:00 a.m.) and on-call requirements with a sign-on bonus up to $5,000. Minimum qualifications include ARRT registration, state licensure, a radiologic technology degree, and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered Technologist credentialed by the ARRT and in good standing.
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• BLS Certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions and report to management, help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor priority of patients, and process billing.

Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may go on to specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine.

A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:30 p.m. - 6:00 a.m. + on-call requirments

A caregiver who excels in this role will:

• Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam.
• Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation.
• Maintain documentation.
• Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator.
• Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology
• Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift or assist with lifting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily.

Personal Protective Equipment:

• Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Pay Range

Minimum hourly: $29.00

Maximum hourly: $44.50
