Job summary

Taleo is seeking a Registered Radiology Tech for per diem/flex, variable shift, in Beaumont, TX. The role requires proficiency in radiographic imaging, fluoroscopy, and operating C-arm equipment in surgery settings, with adherence to sterile technique and radiation safety standards.

Responsibilities include completing PACS/RIS data entry, assisting physicians during fluoroscopy, and supervising student trainees.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
• Current ARRT certification within 90 days.
• Must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB).
• Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Perform radiography and portable exams proficiently and safely. Must possess basic knowledge of anatomy and sterile techniques as it relates to radiographic studies.
• Apply principles of radiation safety using the ALARA concept; minimize repeats and use safety devices.
• Completes data entry in PACS/RIS including histories, fluoroscopy time documentation, contrast documentation, patient dose history and reviews orders/consents.
• Perform fluoroscopy procedures and assist physician with fluoro exams; set up sterile trays.
• Perform radiography in all areas including C-arm operations in surgery.
• Participate in clinical oversight of student trainees.

Summary/Objective

The Registered Radiology Tech is responsible for accurately and efficiently performing Imaging exams according to physicians order and protocols. This Clinical position requires skills and experience in imaging and knowledge of the anatomy. The Registered Radiology Tech must support the mission of providing Sacred Work to all who enter the doors of Baptist Hospitals of Southeast Texas.

Required Education and Experience

Graduate from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.

Required License/Certifications

Current certification with American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) within 90 days

Must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board (TMB)

Basic Life Support certification (BLS) within 90 days
