Job summary

AdventHealth Tampa seeks a Registered Radiology Assistant to perform a full range of imaging procedures under supervision in our imaging department. You will operate imaging equipment, follow age-specific protocols, and ensure patient safety from neonates to geriatrics.

The role requires knowledge of anatomy and pharmacology, adherence to radiation safety, and proficiency with PACS. Bachelor’s degree and ARRT credentials are required; Master’s preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of imaging procedures/positions, anatomy and pharmacology.
• Ability to determine appropriate technical factors.
• Knowledge of radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
• Must maintain Advent Health Allied Health privileges in good standing.
• Communicates effectively in English.
• Knowledge of PACS and associated equipment (Preferred).
• Good organizational skills (Preferred).
• Knowledge of CT, MR, ULTRASOUND, or NUCLEAR MEDICINE equipment (Preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform a full range of imaging procedures under supervision.
• Operate imaging equipment in the assigned department.
• Assess patients pre- and post-procedure and ensure safety.
• Confirm patient with two identifiers before exams.
• Maintain PACS workflow and ensure image quality.
• Adhere to infection control and radiation safety standards.
• Support Performance Improvement initiatives and process improvements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
