Job summary

Meijer in Defiance, OH is seeking a licensed pharmacist to deliver patient-centered care in a full-time role. You will dispense medications, verify orders, educate patients, and support pharmaceutical services.

This position emphasizes accuracy, confidentiality, teamwork, and regulatory compliance. You will coordinate with providers, maintain inventory, and participate in Meijer employer-based training.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist license or eligibility to practice in the state of Ohio.

Responsibilities

• Interacting with patients at various service points of contact.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to customers.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Retrieving medications from inventory and stocking shelves.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medications for the Pharmacy Department.
• Maintaining a clean, orderly pharmacy environment.
• Maintaining patient confidentiality and following privacy policies.
• Collaborating with team and providing excellent customer service.
• Participating in required Meijer training.

• Level 2

• Licensed in their respective state if required.
