Job summary

Meijer in Indiana is seeking a friendly pharmacy professional to provide outstanding patient care while ensuring accurate dispensing and documentation. This role emphasizes reliable service and adherence to privacy standards in a fast-paced retail setting.

You’ll handle medication retrieval, prescription processing, insurance adjudication, and inventory management, and you’ll work with teamwork and strong organizational skills to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and safely for our customers.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or state equivalent requirements.
• Retail/Community Pharmacy experience preferred.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Proficient typing and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Retrieving the appropriate medication from inventory.
• Inputting customer and prescription information in the pharmacy dispensing system.
• Creating prescription labels and adjudicating insurance claims.
• Completing paperwork related to filling prescriptions and receiving drug orders.
• Ordering prescription medication for the Pharmacy Department.
• Stocking prescription medication.
• Promoting pharmacy initiatives and clinical services to the customer.
• Prioritizing workload.
• Using effective communication skills and be agent of change.
• Maintaining a clean and orderly pharmacy for a professional appearance.
• Maintaining confidentiality of patient information.
