Job Description - Registered Pharmacy Technician - Evening Shift - Includes Weekend Hours (2501129)
Position Summary
At Stony Brook Medicine, a Registered Pharmacy Technician is a valuable member of our team who, under the direct personal supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, assists in compounding, preparing, labeling, and/or dispensing of drugs used to fill valid prescriptions or medication orders or in compounding, preparing, and labeling in anticipation of a valid prescription or medication order for a patient to be served by the facility, where such tasks require no professional judgement. The Registered Pharmacy Technician may also assist the Pharmacist with medication dispensing including transferring oral doses of medication from one container to another, medication transport and delivery, and inventory management. Qualified candidates will demonstrate superior communication and organization skills while adhering to our high standard of excellence.

Qualifications
Required: Current valid NY State Registered Pharmacy Technician license and registration. Current valid Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or National Health Career Association (NHA) Pharmacy Technician certification.
Preferred: One or more years of hospital Pharmacy Technician experience. Associate's degree or higher. Experience in sterile compounding.

Anticipated Pay Range:
The salary range (or hiring range) for this position is $48,000 - $68,436 / year.
The above salary range represents SBUH’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. The specific salary offer will be based on the candidate’s validated years of comparable experience. Any efforts to inflate or misrepresent experience are grounds for disqualification from the application process or termination of employment if hired.
