Job summary

Hy-Vee in Iowa is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to join our customer-focused pharmacy team in Waverly. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, support the pharmacy team, and help grow wellness programs and community outreach.

This fast-paced retail role requires a valid pharmacist license, immunization certification, and excellent communication. You’ll partner with store leadership to deliver safe, quality care while upholding HIPAA and Hy-Vee policies.

Qualifications

• Pharmacy degree and licensure required; continuing education to keep license active.
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience.
• Ability to administer immunizations.

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients per regulations.
• Assist with inventory and third-party accounts in a retail setting.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and build clinic partnerships.
• Support wellness programs and community outreach initiatives.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and adhere to Hy-Vee policies.
• Greet customers, learn their names, and ensure accurate documentation.
• Assist with immunizations and provide education to patients.
• Collaborate with Pharmacy Manager and store leadership on procedures.
