Job summary

Hy-Vee is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support the pharmacy team in a fast-paced retail setting. You will assist with wellness programs, community outreach, and inventory management while upholding HIPAA and regulatory requirements.

The role emphasizes patient care, immunizations, and collaboration with store leadership to promote wellness and service excellence in the community.

Qualifications

• College degree and licensure in pharmacy required; must maintain continuing education to keep license active
• 6 months to 1 year of similar or related work experience required
• Medication Therapy Management (MTM) preferred
• Ability to administer immunizations required

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions and counsel patients in accordance with OBRA '90 regulations and all state and federal statutes and regulations
• Assist with controlled substance inventory on an annual basis or as recommended
• Assist with inventory control including ordering, stocking merchandise, checking invoices, and entering inventory information
• Coach, counsel, and train pharmacy employees
• Visit schools, doctor's offices, and senior centers to market pharmacy services
