Job summary

Hy-Vee seeks a Registered Pharmacist to join our Burlington, IA pharmacy team. You will fill and verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and participate in wellness programs while supporting a customer-focused pharmacy operation.

As a licensed pharmacist, you will help manage inventory, assist with immunizations, and train staff, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations. This is a full-time, hourly position with emphasis on exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist licensure required and active in good standing.
• 6 months to 1 year of related work experience preferred.
• Immunization administration certification/ability required by state.

Responsibilities

• Fill and verify prescriptions per OBRA '90 and regulations.
• Counsel patients on medications and wellness programs.
• Assist with controlled substance inventory and periodic reconciliations.
• Train and mentor pharmacy staff; support the pharmacy team.
• Immunize patients as certified and promote pharmacy services to community.
• Maintain HIPAA and patient confidentiality; follow Hy-Vee policies.
