The Society of Critical Care Medicine is seeking an Oncology Pharmacist to join the Cancer Center team. Under supervision, you will distribute medications and supplies, collaborate with providers, and educate patients and families.
Required are a Bachelor's in Pharmacy and OH license; Doctor of Pharmacy is preferred. Hospital experience is preferred. This is a full-time position (40 hrs/week) based in Portsmouth, OH.
Department: Oncology and Main Pharmacy
Shift/schedule: Full Time (40 hrs/wk)
Works under the supervision of the Oncology Lead Pharmacist and Director of Cancer Services. Day-to-day Cancer Center Pharmacist duties are supervised by the Registered Pharmacist Oncology Lead. The primary job function of the Registered Pharmacist Oncology is to distribute medications and supplies according to departmental procedures with the assistance of pharmacy technicians. Collaborates with providers and staff on medication related matters. Educates patients, families, and/or providers.
Education:
High School Diploma or successful completion of an equivalent High School Exam Required
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (5 years) required
Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) preferred
Licensure:
Pharmacy(OH) license required
Graduate Pharmacists may also be hired awaiting license
BLS required
Board Certification in Oncology is preferred
Experience:
Previous hospital experience preferred
