Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Registered Pharmacist in Philadelphia, PA. Responsibilities include reviewing medication orders, ensuring appropriateness in dispensing, and overseeing pharmacy students and technicians.

Preferred qualifications include a PharmD and 1 Year experience in a hospital setting. A PA Pharmacist License and BLS certification are required. This contract position lasts for over 3 months with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support certification is preferred.

Job Summary:

• The Pharmacist reviews all medication orders received from Physicians and Physician Extenders and dispenses medications after assuring that drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration are appropriate.
• Reviews patient allergies, past medical history, drug interactions and lab information for any potential clinical conflicts prior to dispensing medications.
• Responsible for inventory control.
• Provides drug information support for other healthcare team members.
• The Pharmacist oversees the work of all pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process.
• The Pharmacist collaborates with the Health Care Team on the planning for continuum of care and discharge planning.

Requirements:

• Education Bachelor's Degree : College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (Required)
• Doctorate Degree : PharmD (Preferred)
• Experience 1 Year experience working in hospital, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting (Preferred)
• License/Certifications RPH-LIC - PA Pharmacist License (Required) BLS - Basic Life Support (Preferred).
• EPIC experience is a Plus.
