Job summary

JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacist in Philadelphia County, PA. The role involves reviewing medication orders, dispensing medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to ensure accurate care.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy and preferably a PharmD. Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy students and managing inventory.

This is a long-term shift position, Monday to Friday, with no weekends.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy.
  • Doctorate Degree: PharmD is preferred.
  • 1 year of experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
  • RPH-LIC - PA Pharmacist License is required.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification is preferred.

Job description

Professional Type: Allied Health Professional; Specialty: Pharmacist; Contract Type: Long-Term, 13 weeks; Shift: Day, Mon-Fri 8am - 4:30pm, 40 hour/week, no weekends, No on-call; Rate: $50.00 - $55.00/hr.

Responsibilities

The Pharmacist reviews all medication orders received from Physicians and Physician Extenders and dispenses medications after assuring that drug, dose, frequency, and route of administration are appropriate. Reviews patient allergies, past medical history, drug interactions and lab information for any potential clinical conflicts prior to dispensing medications. Responsible for inventory control. Provides drug information support for other healthcare team members. The Pharmacist oversees the work of all pharmacy students and technicians in the preparation of medications to ensure accuracy and safety in the medication use process. The Pharmacist collaborates with the Health Care Team on the planning for continuum of care and discharge planning.

Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree: College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education.
  • Doctorate Degree: PharmD (Preferred).
  • 1 Year experience working in hospital, or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting (Preferred).
  • License/Certifications RPH-LIC - PA Pharmacist License.
  • BLS - Basic Life Support (Preferred).
