Job summary

AdventHealth Davenport, FL is seeking a Registered Nurse for a night shift in critical care. You will perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop care plans, administer medications, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, high‑quality care.

Ideal candidates have RN license, ADN (or BSN), and BLS with ED/acute/critical care experience. Up to $15,000 sign-on, relocation up to $10,000, benefits from day one.

Job Description

Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
  • Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
  • Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
  • Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to infection control policies and safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to life‑threatening situations using established protocols and critical care skills.

  • Knowledgeable in assigned areas of patient care including health promotion and maintenance [Required]
  • EKG knowledge (based on patient population; see document EKG and Advanced Life Support Requirements) [Required]
  • Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
  • Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
  • EPIC [Preferred]
Education:
  • Associate's of Nursing [Required]

Pay Range

Pay Range: $31.85 - $50.90
