Job summary

AdventHealth is seeking a Registered Nurse for our Sebring, FL facility. You will conduct patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and administer medications with a focus on safety and quality.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes and mentor junior staff. Responsibilities include documentation in the EMR, education for patients and families, and adherence to infection control practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing required and RN licensure.
• Bachelor degree in nursing preferred.
• Experience in ED/ICU settings required or preferred.
• Current BLS CPR certification.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor patient responses and adjust care plans accordingly.
• Educate patients and families on health conditions and self-care.
• Document care activities accurately in the EMR.

Job Description

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and organizational policies.

• Supervise and mentor nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care.
