Job summary

Cape Fear Valley Medical Center in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a Registered Nurse specialized in wound care to prevent skin breakdown and manage wounds with VAC dressing. The role includes patient care, staff education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.

Qualified candidates hold NC RN licensure (or compact state), an associate degree (bachelor's preferred), and wound nurse certification. Relocation assistance is available for the right candidate.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required.
• RN licensure in North Carolina or compact state.
• Wound nurse certification required.
• 3 years wound care clinical experience highly preferred.
• 3+ years Med Surg experience will be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct care to patients with skin care and wound needs.
• Prevents and manages skin breakdown facility-wide.
• Participates in product evaluation and research related to wound care nursing.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary staff to optimize bed utilization and costs.
• Provides staff education on skin, wound, and wound VAC use/maintenance.
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement and revenue enhancement.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
