About Sentara Wound Healing Center
We provide state-of-the-art treatment and comprehensive wound care for patients with non-healing or chronic wounds. Our physician-directed treatments include innovative debridement devices and on-site Hyperbaric Oxygen therapy (HBO) when indicated.
Our specialized team collaborates closely with referring physicians to develop personalized treatment plans aimed at optimal outcomes. We maintain ongoing communication to keep your doctor informed of your progress.
Our multidisciplinary approach involves working with specialists from vascular surgery, plastic surgery, orthopedic surgery, podiatry, infectious disease, endocrinology, pain management, and physical therapy. We also offer clinical nutrition counseling and diabetes education to patients and families, and assist with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) needs as part of our continuum of care.
