Job summary

Saint Mary’s Health Network in Reno is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic and evaluate inpatient wounds. You will collaborate with physicians, the charge nurse, and colleagues to adjust treatment plans as patient conditions change.

Requirements include a current RN license, BCLS, prior acute care experience, and ideally WOC knowledge or certification within the first year.

Qualifications

• Must hold current and valid RN license issued by the state.
• BCLS (AHA) required on hire and must be maintained.
• Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Wound care knowledge or experience preferred (1 year).
• Wound, Ostomy, Continence (WOC) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse provides direct care in the outpatient wound care clinic as well as evaluating inpatient wounds. Communicate with physicians / charge nurse / co workers, as appropriate regarding changes in the patient’s treatment, clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies. Has the ability to respond quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.

• Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the state
• BCLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
