Job summary

Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY, is seeking a weekend RN for the NICU to provide direct nursing care following all policies and protocols. The position is full-time at 0.9 FTE with 72 hours per pay period.

Responsibilities include developing and monitoring care plans, coordinating multidisciplinary care, documenting patient status, discharge planning, and patient/family education. Requires KY RN license, BLS, and NRP with BSN within 5 years.

Qualifications

• Requires RN license in Kentucky upon hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification within 45 days of employment.
• NRP certification within 12 months of employment.
• Associate's degree or higher in Nursing required upon hire; BSN within 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
• Serves as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.

• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.

NRP - Certified as a Neonatal Resuscitation Program Provider required within 12 months of employment in this position
