Job summary

Caris HealthCare is seeking a Weekend On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide hospice care, scheduling weekend visits and phone support as needed. Licensed RN in the operating state, with nursing experience and preferably hospice/home health background.

The role offers pay of $73,000–$80,000 per year, with benefits including health, 401(k), paid training, mileage reimbursement, tuition assistance, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse licensed in the state of operation.
• Nursing experience required, with experience in Hospice or Home Health preferred.
• Must posses a sound knowledge of nursing principles, procedures and elements of patient family teaching.

Responsibilities

• Schedule weekly weekend patient visits; some visits may be by phone.
• Be available for work-related calls during weekend hours and answer promptly unless assisting a patient or family.
• Provide nursing care according to physician orders and evaluate patient care plans.

Position: Weekend On- Call Registered Nurse, RN

Pay: $73,000 - $80,000 / yearly Depending on Experience

The Caris HealthCare Weekend On Call Registered Nurse is scheduled to work on weekends. The On Call RN is responsible for the nursing care of patients according to the physician's orders. The On Call RN is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating total patient care and nursing care plans for each patient.

Responsibilities

The Weekend On Call RN is scheduled to make patient visits each week. The On Call RN may be able to resolve some issues by phone. However, many weekend phone calls will require the RN to make a visit.

The On Call RN agrees to be available for work-related phone calls throughout the scheduled weekend work hours. Work related phone calls should be accepted by the On Call RN without allowing it to go to voice mail; unless the On Call RN is assisting a patient or on a phone call with a patient/family.
