Responsibilities:

1. Provides direction and consultation in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care.
2. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and families.
3. Effectively communicates pertinent patient information to the healthcare team.
4. Participates in finding solutions for variances from patient goals and ensures the implementation of solutions.
5. Provides remote consultative and supportive nursing care utilizing in-room camera and technology from a remote location.
6. Collaborates with providers and nurses to provide timely intervention for critically ill patients to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Position Details:

• Position: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Midnight, 12-hour shifts
• Every other weekend and holiday rotations
• Benefits: Full-time benefit package

Education & Experience:

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a critical care nurse required (Adult ICU experience preferred).
• Clinical knowledge and analytical abilities necessary to formulate effective nursing care plans.
• Ability to perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
• Effective communication skills with patients, families, and hospital personnel.
• Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing; ACLS, BLS certifications required.
• CCRN certification preferred.
