Job summary

Valley Children's Hospital is seeking a licensed Registered Nurse to assess vascular access needs, coordinate PICC placement in the hospital and outpatient referrals, and support staff with catheter care and complication management.

You will work under a nurse executive, with shifts of 5x10 or 4x11.5, BLS and CA-BRN license required, PICC certification preferred, and 2+ years clinical experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (required).
• RN license: CA-BRN (required).
• BLS certification (required).

• Minimum two years of related clinical experience (required); three years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess and identify vascular access needs for PICC placement in hospital and outpatient settings.

Job Summary

A licensed Registered Nurse accountable to assess and identify the vascular access needs of the patient, coordinate and provide services for peripherally inserted central catheter (PICC) placement in the hospital setting and for outpatient referrals, and to serve as a resource to staff for ongoing monitoring, maintenance and management of potential catheter-related complications. Practices under the direction of the designated nurse executive, within the scope of the Nursing Practice Act, and in accordance with Valley Children's Hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Shift Details Position can be either 5 x 10-hour shifts or 4 x 11.5-hour shifts
• Education Program Graduate from an accredited nursing program. (required)
• College Degree - 4 year Nursing (preferred)
• Licenses and Certifications:
  • BLS - Basic Life Support - AHA - American Heart Association within 30 days of hire or transfer into position (required)
  • RN - Registered Nurse License - CA-BRN - California Board of Registered Nursing (required)
  • PICC Certification (preferred)
• Work Experience Minimum two (2) years Related clinical experience. (required) Minimum three (3) years (preferred)
• Skills and Abilities Bilingual Skills Preferred.
