This RN would be part of our Central Staffing Resource Department in the Adult General Care Cluster. This cluster services the Adult Medical/Surgical units in University Hospital:

  1. 4A Neurology
  2. 5A Orthopedics/Trauma
  3. 5B Medicine Acute Care
  4. 5C GI/Transplant
  5. 6A Acute Rehabilitation
  6. 6B Medicine Acute Care
  7. 7W Adult BMT/Hematology
  8. 8A Oncology Acute Care
  9. 8B Medicine Acute Care
  10. 8E Adult Surgical
  11. 8C Medical Surgical
  12. Surgical Observation Unit

What Benefits Can You Look Forward To

Hourly range for Registered Nurses: $40.18-$62.31 / hour. CSR RN's will receive an additional hourly differential of $2.50/hour and will not be required to work holidays.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care to a variety of patients, young adult to elderly. Floating among the Adult General units requires familiarity with multiple medical diagnoses.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a current Michigan Registered Nurse License.
  • One (1) year or more of recent RN experience in adult inpatient acute care.

Desired Qualifications

  • BSN
  • Demonstrates expertise in communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience floating to multiple units.

Work Schedule

Hours: 0.9 (36 hrs) per week. Shift: Night shift, 12 hrs.

Union Affiliation

This position is covered under the collective bargaining agreement between the U-M and the Michigan Nurses Association.
