Job description

NOW ELIGIBLE FOR A $7,500 SIGN-ON BONUS.

To be eligible for a sign-on bonus, the candidate must not have worked as a probationary, permanent, or time-limited employee in the last 12 months as an employee subject to the State Human Resources Act.

Individuals in these positions will work remotely but may be required to work in person at various facilities as needed. Position will be required to work any shift, weekends, or holidays as needed with limited supervision.

This position covers statewide nursing triage. Triage responsibilities include a variety of health care screenings and evaluations of urgent and non-life-threatening offender complaints of illness and/or injury during the absence of the facility’s registered nurse and/or provider. Triage care will/shall be provided utilizing a variety of modalities including telephone and video. The Triage Nurse will implement a care plan in accordance with medical protocols, provider orders, written policies and procedures and functions within the NC Board of Nursing scope of practice. The Triage Nurse will make referrals and coordinate higher level of care utilizing the local emergency, on-call provider or internal urgent care facilities. This position will be responsible for data collection, monthly reports and quality assurance monitoring as directed by leadership.

Work Schedule:The Triage Nurse position shift will vary, to include weekend/day/night coverage to all shifts as needed

**This is a full-time position (40 hours per week) with State Benefits. **Applicants must pass a background check to be eligible for this job.**
