Job summary

Tryon Medical Partners seeks a Registered Nurse - Triage Call Center to manage and document medical inquiries and refills, supporting the Live Answer team at SouthPark. Hybrid/remote- work may be required, with weekend coverage as needed.

The role requires RN licensure in North Carolina, BSN preferred, CPR certification, and 3+ years in a medical setting. Experience with Athena EHR is a plus, strong customer service and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing (BSN preferred).
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse with the State of North Carolina.
• CPR certification required (American Heart Association or American Red Cross).
• 3+ years of medical setting experience; some supervisory experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of an electronic health record system; Athena preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and document phone calls for triage and medication refills.
• Assess urgency of patient problems in collaboration with physicians and nurses.
• Record and maintain accurate patient and physician communications.
• Handle high-volume calls and retrieve messages.
• Submit new prescriptions and refills according to physician orders.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff on medical information and nursing care.
• Support care management programs and value-based initiatives.
• Occasional weekend coverage required (8am–2pm Sat/Sun).
• Other duties as assigned.

Registered Nurse - Triage Call Center

Job Summary

Manages and documents phone calls pertaining, medical inquiries (Triage) and medication refills. This is a full time position that will support the Live Answer team at SouthPark, with the possibility to work hybrid/remote- occasional weekend coverage may be required.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Tasks may include, but not limited to:

• Working with physicians, MAs, nurses and patients to resolve questions concerning medications, health education, and medical advice within skill level and scope of practice.
• Working with physicians, nurses, medical assistants and patients to assess the urgency of patient problems.
• Recording and maintaining complete and accurate records of patient and physician communications regarding medical care.
• Possess ability to handle high volume phone call and retrieve messages.
• Submit electronically/fax new prescriptions and refilling prescriptions according to physician orders.
• Serve as a resource to clinic staff regarding medical information, patient assessment, and nursing management of illness.
• Provide support for care management programs and other value-based initiatives as needed
• Occasional weekend coverage may be required from 8am-2pm Saturday and/or Sunday.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience and Certifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Must be licensed as a Registered Nurse with the State of North Carolina.
