Cardinal Health seeks an experienced Registered Nurse for triage in Casper, WY. The role focuses on telephonic and electronic triage, symptom management, and care coordination across the oncology continuum.

You will assess patients using evidence-based protocols, coordinate care with the team, and ensure safe navigation through treatment while delivering exceptional patient care. The position requires an active Wyoming RN license, an Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field

Qualifications

• Active RN license for Wyoming in good standing.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field; oncology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for incoming clinical calls, electronic messages, and symptom management needs.
• Perform comprehensive nursing triage using evidence-based protocols to assess acuity, escalate appropriately, and coordinate timely interventions.
• Collaborate with providers to manage treatment-related symptoms, toxicities, and urgent clinical concerns.
• Provide patient education, reinforcement of care plans, and guidance on symptom monitoring and follow-up.
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation in the EMR to support continuity of care and risk management.
• Support standardized triage workflows to ensure timely, consistent patient responses.
• Escalate system issues, access barriers, or process inefficiencies impacting patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement, pathway development, and clinical workflow optimization.
• Serve as a clinical resource for staff regarding triage protocols and care coordination practices.
