Job summary

University Hospitals Pain Management in Ohio seeks a Registered Nurse to provide safe, age-specific care in the birthing center at UH TriPoint Medical Center. You will use the nursing process, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in OB/L&D, postpartum and newborn care.

A sign-on bonus of $8,000 is available for experienced inpatient nurses. Applicants must be licensed with at least 1 year inpatient experience and commit to PHI safety and professional practice.

The birthing center at UH TriPoint Medical Center is designed specifically to provide advanced obstetrics care while enhancing safety, comfort and convenience for moms, newborns and their families. Our spacious, private patient rooms are built around the labor, delivery, recovery and postpartum (LDRP) model, meaning that moms remain in the same room through all phases of the birth process including recovery and the post-partum period.

Position Summary

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

Essential Functions

• Implements the nursing process by delivering effective relationship based nursing care.
• Demonstrates technical skills in care delivery that result in safe practice and positive care outcomes.
• Demonstrates clear communication and effective collaboration to optimize patient care and clinical operations.
