Compensation includes a travel-friendly package with shifts across multiple units and the potential for an annual discretionary bonus based on performance.

SENTARA MARTHA JEFFERSON HOSPITAL CHARLOTTESVILLE, VIRGINIA REGISTERED NURSE HOSPITAL FLOAT WITH Med/surg AND STEPDOWN EXPERIENCE (see below for experience requirements) NIGHTS 14 WEEK TRAVELER $75/hr The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by a specific special Registered Nurse Education RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN Certification/Licensure Valid RN License to practice in Virginia Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Registered Nurse Experience MUST have AT LEAST 2 yrs of RECENT bedside RN experience in a HOSPITAL on med/surg/tele AND IMCU.

This position's primary duties include assessing/admitting patients, rounding checks, giving medications, talking with family members, and being responsible for the overall care of your patients.
