Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse for a 14-week travel assignment on the Night shift in Acute Medical Telemetry. RNs provide bedside care using the nursing process, ensuring patient safety and high-quality outcomes.

Requires a valid Virginia RN license, current BLS and NIHSS, and at least 2 years of recent telemetry/medical bedside experience; EPIC experience is required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 2 years of recent bedside RN experience in Medical or Telemetry.
• EPIC documentation system experience required.
• Current BLS and NIHSS
• Virginia RN license to practice

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes A, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas. Meets and maintains any requirements defined by a specific specialty

Education

RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN

Certification / Licensure

Valid RN License to practice in Virginia Current BLS, NIHSS

Experience

MUST have AT LEAST 2 yrs of RECENT bedside RN experience in MEDICAL OR TELEMETRY EPIC documentation system experience required CURRENT BLS AND NIHSS required
