Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking a Registered Nurse - Traveler for a 14-week assignment on the Acute Cardiac/Stroke/IMCU unit. The role requires 2+ years of recent bedside IMCU/stepdown experience, an active Virginia RN license, and current ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS certifications.

EPIC is the documentation system used. The travel RN will deliver high-quality nursing care during day shifts, following the nursing process and collaborating with the care team

Qualifications

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. The standards of practice (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes A, planning, implementation, coordination of care- teaching and health promotion and evaluation) along with the standards of professional performance (ethics, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence- based practice /nursing research, quality, evaluation, resource utilization, and environmental health) encompass the actions and foundation of professional nursing. The RN possesses clinical knowledge and skills to meet standards as required by specific clinical areas.

Meets and maintains any requirements defined by a specific specialty

E ducation

• RN Degree - ADN, BSN or MSN

Certification/Licensure

• Valid RN License to practice in Virginia
• Current ACLS, BLS, NIHSS

Experience

MUST have AT LEAST 2 yrs of RECENT bedside RN experience in IMCU/ Stepdown Medical Surgical

EPIC documentation system experience required

CURRENT ACLS, BLS AND NIHSS required
