Job summary

Las Palmas Medical Center in El Paso, TX is seeking an experienced RN for critical care transport. The role involves assessment, treatment and coordination of transport of neonatal, pediatric and adult patients under medical direction.

Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team ensures safe, high-quality care during transit. Requirements include Texas RN licensure, BCLS/ACLS/NRP, with additional maternal/PICU/NICU credentials like PALS/TNCC/ENPC.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in the state of Texas.
• BCLS, ACLS, NRP required.
• Maternal/PICU/NICU waivers like PALS, TNCC, ENPC with grace periods.
• STABLE and CCRN certifications preferred.
• Three years’ critical care transport experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess, treat, and manage patients during transport.
• Collaborate with transport team leadership and medical direction.
• Develop and monitor systems to improve quality and efficiency of transport.
• Assist in preceptor program development for transport staff.

Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for the assessment, treatment, management, control, diagnostic evaluation, and care of patients during the transport process under the direction of Director, Administrative Director, and Medical Director of the transport team. Collaborates with other professionals to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes and can function autonomously in an advanced clinical role with responsibilities in the areas of clinical care, leadership, education, consultation and research. Contributes to the provision of quality care through performance improvement techniques that demonstrate positive outcomes in patient care.

Assist management in the development of systems, processes and programs to improve quality of patient care and increase nursing efficiency throughout the transport process. Develops, coordinates, and monitors unit preceptor program in collaboration with transport team administration.
