Job Summary:

Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients or groups of patients according to established standards and the nursing process. Supervises and directs various levels of nursing staff, coordinates care with other disciplines, and utilizes critical thinking, professional discretion, and independent judgment.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
• Acute care experience: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
• CPR or BLS certification: Required

Essential Functions:

• Collects relevant patient data, analyzes it for diagnosis and care planning, develops and implements care plans, and evaluates progress.
• Collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare team members to provide safe, healing, and humane care. Provides education and participates in discharge planning.
• Delegates tasks appropriately and coordinates healthcare team activities.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Unit Information:

• Total beds: 47 (Tele: 43, Dialysis: 4)
• Staffing ratios: 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
• Schedule: Staffer-created schedule; full-time staff work half of weekend shifts
• Support systems include medication (Omnicell), documentation (Epic), IV teams, pharmacy, phlebotomy, transportation, and unit secretary services.
• Provider coverage includes 24/7 intensivist and hospitalist services.
• Equipment: Telemetry monitors; procedures include cardioversion, ECHO, and Cath Lab recovery.

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with 2 years of experience in telemetry
• RN license with OR endorsement
• BLS and ACLS certifications (copies required)
• SSN and DOB required; 2 recent references
