Job summary

MedCadre in Olathe, KS seeks a Cardiac Tele RN for the OMC NS 4 North unit. This full-time role covers 1900-0730 shifts, every third weekend, with a required holiday schedule.

Candidates should have BSN preferred or ADN with commitment to obtain BSN within five years; ACLS and BLS are required; 1 year RN hospital experience.

Unit handles acute cardiac patients with telemetry monitoring, staffing 59 beds across three units; team-based care and continuous monitoring are essential.

Qualifications

• ACLS & BLS required; TR band experience required
• BSN preferred; willing to sign contract to obtain BSN within 5 years

Responsibilities

• Provide bedside nursing care for primarily acute cardiac patients
• Monitor patient status using telemetry equipment and assist with titration of cardiac meds
• Collaborate with care team on post-invasive cardiac procedures and critical care needs

Unit Description

Patient population: ?primarily acute cardiac patients, post invasive cardiac procedures, chest pain, acute illnesses such as (but not limited to) ETOH withdrawal, COVID, sepsis, tikosyn and Sotalol initiation and titration Average census and nurse to patient ratio: 3 units totaling 59 beds (we staff for 45 beds) Nurse to patient ratio is 1:5, 1-2 patient care techs on each unit depending on census and acuity Beds per unit: 4 north (28 beds), 4 south (cardiac observation unit is 18 beds) and 4 East (13 beds) Tech or equipment used on the unit: Client heart monitors, Masimo vital sign machines, Stryker beds

Required Qualifications

BSN preferred but we do take ADN with willingness to sign a contract to obtain BSN within 5 years, 1 Year of RN Hospital experience

BSN License Required: KS RN Certificated Required: ACLS & BLS required, TR band experience is required
