Prime Healthcare seeks a Telemetry Registered Nurse (RN) for a part-time role at St. Joseph Medical Center in Kansas City, MO. The Tele RN will monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and patient status in the telemetry unit, delivering comprehensive care to patients requiring monitoring and support.

12-hour day shifts from 7:00am to 7:00pm. Requirements include an active RN license, BLS at hire, ACLS preferred, and BSN preferred.

Formación

• Current and valid state RN license.
• BLS required at hire and maintained.
• ACLS certification preferred within 30 days of hire.
• Acute Care hospital experience preferred.
• Ventilator management experience preferred.
• BSN preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs and cardiac rhythms, to develop care plans.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and vitals using telemetry equipment.
• Communicate changes in patient status to the physician.
• Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Provide wound care, treatments, ADL assistance, and emotional support.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, medications, and self-care.
• Respond promptly to shifts changes and consult with physicians as needed.
• Deliver safe patient care using the nursing process.

Location:St. Joseph Medical Center - Kansas City, MO

We are seeking aTelemetryRegistered Nurse(RN),sometimes referred to as aTelemetry RNor Tele RN.A Tele RNspecializing in attending to patients within our telemetryunits,includingthose needing cardiac monitoring.The Tele RNwillmonitor and interpretourpatient's vital signs, such as heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation level. Continuous monitoring of patients, by the Telemetry RNenables gatheringreal-time data to make informed decisions regarding patient care, ensuring early detection of abnormalities or changes in the patient's condition.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

• Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plans

• Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythms

• Communicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatology

• Administer medicationsas prescribed byphysicians, including intravenous medications, andmonitorpatients for any adverse reactions

• Provide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments,assistingwith activities of daily living, and providing emotional support

• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and treatments, as well as provide guidance on self-care practices and lifestyle modificationsintheTelemetry Unit

• Respond quickly to changes in patient conditions throughout shift and be able to address any concerns to the physician as soon as possible

• Responsible for the delivery of safe patient careutilizingthe nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation

Qualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

1. Current and valid state RN License.2. Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.3. Current ACLS certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current preferred.4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience preferred.5. Ventilator Management experience preferred.6. Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
