Job summary

IdealHire Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse – Telemetry in Olathe, KS for a 14-week contract. The role is full-time, onsite, with 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) and three shifts per week, including every other weekend.

Experience in Orthopedic & Spine units preferred; BLS required; Kansas or Compact RN license needed. Responsibilities include direct patient care on a Telemetry unit, floating to other acute care units as needed, and using EPIC EMR for documentation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months of hospital experience with orthopedic & spine experience.
• Active Kansas RN License or Compact RN License.
• BLS Certification required.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care on a Telemetry unit in an acute care hospital setting
• Float to all acute care units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management
• Adhere to unit scheduling requirements, including holiday coverage — travelers are required to work one holiday from each group: Thanksgiving Day or Black Friday | Christmas Eve or Christmas Day | New Year's Eve or New Year's Day
• Participate in a structured multi-day orientation program, including on-site and virtual training components

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of 18 months of experience in a hospital setting with Orthopedic & Spine experience
• Active Kansas RN License or Compact RN License
• BLS Certification required
• New graduates are not eligible for this position
• Must comply with a nicotine‑free facility policy

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience working in a Telemetry unit
